Cleveland, OH - Big Dog Head remains a regionally adored band, as they have continued to work hard at honing their performance skills and growing their fan base.   Their trademark guitar-driven rock sound is still there, but the hooks are bigger than ever and the band’s songwriting continues to mature into something special.  This is not the end, the follow-up to 2022’s Freak, is just further evidence of their musical evolution.

“I would have to say that this is our best release ever,” says singer/guitarist Brian (Maclean).  “The production with Mick (Corcoran) and the engineering brilliance of Mark (Knapp) has combined for a very interesting Album.  Our writing process has evolved to where we are only recording and playing the best versions of every song.  That process has allowed us to release an album with no ‘filler’ songs.”

The past few years have presented Big Dog Head several opportunities to perform in front of large groups of potential fans, and industry executives such as the MGM in Las Vegas and they are the only unsigned Cleveland band to perform at every major venue in the city including Cleveland Browns Stadium, Blossom Music Center, Jacobs Pavilion and Rocket Mortgage Field House.  Big Dog Head was repeatedly asked to return to such functions as Browns and Cavaliers pre-game festivities that were broadcast live on WOIO Channel 19 Cleveland. They were also one of seven national finalists in the Budweiser Battle of the Bands and a 2024 Finalist on WKNR ESPN’s 850 – Really Big Show’s Big Break Radio Competition, and have also performed at several high profile music conferences over the last few years such as the NAMM Show in Nashville Tennessee, and SXSW in Austin Texas.

Songs from all four of BDH’s releases (TMO, That’s Life, Nobody and Freak) have charted regionally on radio, and their song “If I Could Fly” even reached as high as #2 on the regional chart behind Metallica.  BDH has opened for such national acts as 3 Doors Down, Shinedown, Seether, Boston, Styx, Peter Frampton and Nelson.

And the band’s live show continues to be their main selling point.  “We all love performing live and the interaction we have with our fans, and that’s why we are here,” says Chad Taylor – Drummer of BDH.  “BDH has become four friends doing what we love to do, and we enjoy every minute of it.”
